Fastest-rotating star spins at 600 kilometres per second at the equator!

WASHINGTON: Scientists have for the first time discovered the fastest-rotating massive star, which spins at the speed of 600 kilometers per second at the equator and could be the progenitor of some of the brightest explosions in the universe: gamma-ray bursts.

The rotational velocity is so high that the star is nearly tearing apart due to centrifugal forces.

The observations were made at the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope, at the Paranal Observatory in Chile, as part of a survey of the heaviest and brightest stars in a region called the Tarantula Nebula.

This is very interesting.
Once Dr Tariq Aziz (has retired as professor of Mathematics) came in Jama-at to our local mosque and he was explaining the attractions of Jannah. He said that in Jannah there will be houses whose bricks will be of silver and then there will be houses where one brick is of silver and the other of gold. Then there will be houses where all the bricks will be of Gold. Then there will be houses which will be of a single pearl. Then he added that since pearls do not occur in that size such houses will be built by amr-e-kun of Allah(SWT). When we read news items like above it is clear that this amr-e-kun has already made itself manifest.
