Yes the comment was not meant for you. Some one else had earlier called Iqbal a fasiq. May be brother Verdana can defend Iqbal but I can not. Of course I do remain an Iqbal fan but the amount of work needed to sort our the grain from the rest in his writings is enormous.

Ali Miyan (RA) had a book on Iqbal - Nuqoosh-e-Iqbal.
A retired civil servant from Bihar, Badi-uz-Zaman, had many books on Iqbal published by Danish Book Depot, Tanda, Faizabad, UP.
    Wassalam
    No problem then brother...
I too have 1-2 books on Iqbal which my bro got, top grade Urdu stuff, can't understand.
    for the suggestion though.

Maulana Zafar Ali Khan (RA) of Aligarh went to meet Allama Iqbal (RA) but he beat a hasty retreat. The reason was that Allama had instructed his helper to prepare the Hukkah and bring his Kalamdaan. For Urdu people sheen (sh) and qaaf (q) must be proper. So Huqqah is Huqqah and Qalamdaan is Qalamdaan. Allama's language was academic. Personally I face similar problems with Faiz's poetry. He too was MA (ARabic) and many times uses impressive language. Sad for people of their stature. In his later poetry Faiz did come down to easy Urdu.

There is a tajweed teacher and he is good but he hails from Bihar and his Urdu has that touch. I do get zittery in his presence. Khaneh par baitho becomes khana par baitho (in English both will mean sit down for a meal.) Since he reads Ek Minute Ka Madarsa (One Minute's School) everyday some times the similar words come in a series one after another and it does give me goose pimples.

Once a senior person told me not to read Iqbal's books without an explanatory book at hand. There are several in the market.

PS: There is a prose writer (actually was) Professor Rasheed Ahmed Siddiqui. If you get hold of a book by him you shall realize that his prose reads itself and you are sort of taking a ride on a automatic vehicle.

Unless you're a poetry lover... then you make ta'weels to make it all right. Take Qaseedah Burdah for example.

person A takes another meaning, B takes another, C takes another. C knows something about aqeedah so he is fine, B and A dont know jack so their beliefs get corrupted.

    here is an example:
    iqbal said
فرقہ بندی ہے کہیں اور کہیں ذاتیں ہیں"
"کیا زمانے میں پنپنے کی یہی باتیں ہیں

and this was used as a caption for this pic: 481219_10150924176694417_164453844416_9573706_683922339_n.jpg

    some comments:
"ye ALLAH k gharab masjiden kahaan rahi hen ye to h****khor molviyon k pait bharne k adday ban gaye hen.. ALLAH inko hidayat de"
    and
"Iqbal tere dais ka kiya hal sunaon...............: ("
"iss tarah karo ghe to azzabay illahi kiunkar na aye ga"
"iss jurm ki qanooni karwai kya hay? *****"

and this is what had to be said to defend the sign:
"it means the jamaat for tableegh only...any muslim can enter and pray in any masjid. but for preaching you need to have permission of the imam. otherwise this could lead to petty arguments or scuffles inside of the Mosque. and that too done by laymen who do not know basics of fiqh and aqeedah. therefore in order to avoid such averse circumstances mosques generally have this rule.
there are deviant groups (of which common people do not know about) that need to be stopped from preaching. moreover even well-intentioned people have to be scrutinized by the imam so that unknowingly while preaching their jamaat does not commit blunders in aqeedah and fiqh."

are such long paragraphs to do tawil supplied with every poetic verse?what about those people who do not have access to the tawil?they read the poetry, derive their meanings and wander away.
