There is a 'Record Live Stream' option in Real Player. When the stream is Live, click on the Red Record button. And thats it. Real Player also has a media convertor function. You can convert the recorded stream to a wide range of Multimedia formats

The Basic version is free and has the Record Live Stream option and convertor
