    the water would be musta'mal if you wash over the bucket & the drops fall from your limbs or if you wash you limps in the bucket. the sunnah is to have the bucket on your right side, scoop with right hand & allow the drops to fall from the limbs infront of you. the water on you hands will be excused or even not be musta'mal because you treat it as if it didnt do any work on the limb. only if you wash over the bucket & the water fell in would it be musta'mal.

    واختلف الفقهاء فيه فعن ابي حنيفة ثلاث روايات فروى عنه أبو يوسف أنه نجس مخفف وروى الحسن بن زياد أنه نجس مغلظ وروى محمد بن الحسن وزفر وعافية القاضي أنه طاهر غير طهور وهو اختيار المحققين من مشايخ ما وراء النهر وفي ( المحيط ) وهو الأشهر الأقيس وقال في ( المفيد ) وهو الصحيح وقال الأسبيجابي وعليه الفتوى وقال قاضيخان ورواية التغليظ رواية شاذة غير مأخوذ بها وبه يرد على ابن حزم قوله الصحيح عن ابي حنيفة نجاسته وقال عبد الحميد القاضي أرجو أن لا تثبت رواية النجاسة فيه عن ابي حنيفة وعند مالك طاهر وطهور وهو قول النخعي والحسن البصري والزهري والثوري وأبي ثور وعند الشافعي طاهر غير طهور وهو قوله الجديد وعند زفر إن كان مستعمله طاهرا فهو طاهر وطهور وإن محدثا فهو طاهر غير طهور وقوله استعمال فضل وضوء الناس أعم من أن يستعمل للشرب أو لإزالة الحدث أو الخبث أو للاختلاط بالماء المطلق فعلى قول النجاسة لا يجوز استعماله أصلا وعلى قول الطهورية يجوز استعماله في كل شيء وعلى قول الطاهرية فقط يجوز استعماله للشرب والعجين والطبخ وإزالة الخبث .
