Default Isale sawab and visiting a Mazar

Its been tradition in my locality to visit a certain Mazar of a Awliya .
I too have love for him . I feel it in my heart to visit his Mazar as well .

I am also aware of the fact there are many people visiting this mazar who practice things
and beliefs that my mind and heart says is not right.

What are the accepted ibadah and deeds for isale sawab on those who have passed away.
Is there a majority accepted 'method' to do so . Any prescribed 'Dua' to use ?

Is there an accepted way of 'Tawassul' wording that is agreed upon by the ulema.

I ask this to know the practices of the majority as per Sunni islam. What are the non
permissible aspects I need to be aware of.

    salam.

As for tawasul, if the wording confuses you, its enough to supplicate to Allah the way you always do. The location from which you made dua, that is the presence of someone loved by Allah, acts as a tawasul. Otherwise you could use the wording that has come in the hadith of blindman. For a more broad dua or adab in ziyarah, you can refer to the appropriate fiqhs book of your madhab which unfortunately I cannot help you.

Try and finish and read the Quran as many times as possible: also recite duroods as much as you can, including the kalima shareef. People also reaad surah yaseen as much as they can
