Makka Twin Peaks Challenge is Back! - April 2012
What is the Makka Twin Peaks Challenge?
It is to scale the peaks of Mount Noor and Mount Thawr (Mecca, Saudi Arabia) in one day and raise money for Charity.
• Umrah under the guidance of scholars
• Charity mountain climb
• Visit historical sites
• Visit Madina
After performing your Umrah, your challenge is to trek up mount Noor and Thawr (Mecca, Saudi Arabia) on the same day, in the heat of an Arabian summer’s day. It takes about two hours to complete the trek of Mount Noor and anything up to 4 hours for Mount Thawr. The mountain paths are known for their steepness, this together with the difficult heat will be a test of your endurance. Normally only half of the participants manage to complete climbing both mountains. This year our hope is that all participants complete the challenge, insha-Allah. Please take note of the exercise tips within the terms and conditions and prepare for a difficult test!
After the exhausting challenge enjoy the rewards on offer by praying in the two holy masjids of Mecca and Madina and visit the historical sights of Islam through our sightseeing tours of the two holy cities, insha’Allah. By taking part in the Makka Twin Peaks Challenge you are contributing towards an important Islamic cause, share in the rewards of passing on good knowledge and help to improve our society, insha-Allah.
