How did Prophet Adam PBUH lived 930 years and was a giant?

Well, I mean their is no scientific proof for this or fossils found of giants and such, a really confusing matter to me that effects my imam greatly.

Really? Giants? That's the most perplexing issue? How about the creation of the entire universe from nothing - with one command - 'Kun' ? How about the existence of Angels, some of which are so powerful they can overturn the earth with a flick of their wing? If we can believe such things, then surely giants are not a problem .

Firstly. Humankind has only studied a very small percentage of earth. As an expert diver, and living in the Carribean it is no surprise to see odd creatures of the sea and strange "large" object only Allah knows resting on the substrate beds.

Secondly. Do we see the jinn ? Do we see angels ? In there originally form or "any form".

Finally. Do you honesty believe all the large bones found had been strange dinosaurs ? Could they not have been of

Sight, simply put togeather by a scientist as they believe

Allah is great and there is much we do not know of the past. Look at the change in only the last 100 years.
There have been powerful nations before us with strength we cannot imagine.

What I find arrogant (this isn't directed at jellal) is that scientists admit and agree that subatomic particles have been known to spontaneously appear from nowhere. Is that not the scientific proof they require for the existence of a creator and creation in action?

One question I have always wondered in the back of my head; at what time period did Adam pbuh live? I know they were the first person and all that; but exactly how many years ago was it? This has always boggled my mind, and also dinosaurs? Were they around at the time of Adam pbuh

One knowledgeable, qualified Shaik said in his Bayan,...

Allah had fixed 1000 years for Adam(a.s). Once Allah showed the descendants of Adam(a.s) in the form of white and black dots/objects/stars.

Black ones are the one who will go astray from path of Allah.
White ones are the ones who obeys the commandments of Allah.

In the white ones, one was glowing very bright. Adam(a.s) asked who is this. Allah said he is Dawood a.s and he will be your descendant. Adam a.s asked how many years he would live on this Earth & came to know its very less. So Adam(a.s) will give 40 years of his life to Dawood A.S.

How can we know that by 930 years what is meant is since his creation (time he spent in the Garden as an immortal) ??? How do we know that his "giant" appearance isn't only restricted to when he was in the garden and when he came down to earth his appearance became that of an ordinary human? especially since I've seen several narrations describing the appearance of Humans in Jannah and it seems to be very different than our appearance on earth.

Also, some places that used to be dry land is now under the sea. During the Ice Age, the entire set of Indonesian islands was one large piece of land, called the Sundaland. The islands we see now were its mountains.

It's possible where Adam lived is now under the sea.

There exist (more than) enough logical, factual, scientific proofs in Islam for one to realize that it is in fact the deen (religion) of God and not some made-up stories by human beings.

That being said, we need to believe 100% in everything which is mentioned in Quran & Hadith, whether it makes 'sense' to us at our limited human level and intellect, or not. We should realize that we have enough logical, factual, and scientific proof for us to not be "blind" believers, so when it comes to some of the things which we need to believe "blindly" because we don't necessarily have the physical proof in front of us, we should believe it just the same as we believe 1+1=2 or that gravity pulls downdwards. There should not be any if's, and's, or but's.

The subject matter of this thread comes under the same I believe, though it's not completely something which we need to believe blindly. There have been plenty of scientific studies citing the fact that humans used to be taller/larger and have gotten shorter in height as history has gone by. As far as the age thing, Quran and Hadith reiterate many times that people who lived before us had lifespans ranging up to many, many centuries. That should be enough for us to believe it.

It is just a bit concerning how far we sometimes go to question our own deen, rather than just believing.
