Default When they say Awliyah (Saints) Knowledge of the Unseen what Kinds are they?

regarding this i wanted to know the following questions "He discloses not His unseen (ghayb) to anyone, except only to such a Messenger as He is well-pleased with." (72:26)

Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalani explained this verse thus:

It follows from this verse that Prophets can see some of the Unseen, and so do the saints (wali, pl. awliya') that follow each particular Prophet also, as each takes from his Prophet and is gifted (yukram) with his knowledge. The difference between the two is that the Prophet looks at this knowledge through all kinds of revelation, while the saint does not look upon it except in dreams or through inspiration, and Allah knows best

    1. when it is talking about dreams i understand but when it says inspiration what does that mean regarding for the awliyah?

    2. i know its not the same as how our prophet pbuh got revealations from Allah thru angel gibrael, but does it mean that angel gibrael (as) or another angel gives them a inspiration?

    3. does the angel gibrael still speak to humans now? or is it part of our belief that we are supposed to believe that he doesnt speak to any humans now? and if yes what kind of speaking is this?

    4. other than angel gibrael delivering wahy to our prophet pbuh what else does angel gibrael do now does he have other duties today?

    5. what other kind of inspirations are there other than dreams for the awliyah? (please name and define each one) thank you

    brother,

Did you notice the last phrase of Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalani ? He said 'and Allah knows best'. Allah Ta'ala has given us very little information regarding the Unseen. So no one knows much about it and indeed Allah Ta'ala knows best about these matters. My sincere advice is not to dwell too much into these matters, we humans usually have an obsession with such unclear things, which often is exploited by Shaytaan. It just leads to waste of time.

Just remember Allah Ta'ala knows everything. He gives the 'news' of unseen to the people He wishes. How, when, what etc is Allah Ta'ala 's choice, out of that one means is true dreams. and Allah knows best.

As for the Angels, it is also a realm of unseen. No one knows what Angel Jibreel (as) is doing now. Allah knows best. As I said earlier, inquiring such matters does not benefit us in anyway.

المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده، والمهاجر من هجر ما نهى الله عنه
A (true) Muslim is a person who does not harm another Muslim with his tongue or with his hands and Muhajir is he who leaves that which Allah has forbidden.

really what i want to know regarding this is are we muslims allowed to believe that the angel gibrael (as) or anyother angel descends and actually gives a heads up of what might happen of the unseen? or is this forbidden to think or believe that?

the reason i am asking this is when i went back to my home country in asia my uncle told me before his father died he told his son and a group of people that he is going to die tommorow at 4pm or something like that and he seemed healthy when he was saying all this than the following day he actually died exactlyas he said he would (this is what my uncle told me Allah knows if this is true) but if this is true how would he know this does it mean a angel told him this? or from a dream? can it be possible from a angel or is that uncorrect to believe?

Bro, we do not have proof that Angels visit people and reveal things after the Prophet . I don't think its mentioned anywhere. So do not hold such beliefs rather say Allah knows best. Such things are matters of Unseen, so do NOT be obsessed with it. Keep it simple.

Just because you don't know it, doesn't mean there isn't proof... Have you read all of the hadiths??? Have you understood the Quran completely, to say there is no proof in the Quran concerning this???

Based on what are you saying there is no proof???
