I mean get your basics right first, then learn how to read properly ulama's texts before lying on them. You claim they said such an such whereas you've not read their whole work.
OK that's the end of discussion for me.
Before accusing a Muslim of lying, please read the text yourself. If you have not read the text which I posted, then do not accuse me of lying.

If you follow the Hanafi madhab, I don't think there is a better site than themajlis.co.za.

I used to go on askimam.org, but I think some of the answers are too lax.

Calling anything "intensely makrooh" and "haram" isn't providing much of a 'alternative view' .... Read my link and see what I meant by "alternative view of scholars" ...
so alternative view means someone who agrees with your opinion?
    amazing.
how about the askimam and other QA sites' links that stated clapping was haram. i asked you to post them.

    also,
find me a text in which "Imam Ibn Taymiyyah said, all customs are permitted so long as the Shari`ah has not clearly forbidden them. Since there is no text to forbid it, it shall be deemed as permissible.”
ive quoted from this Group of Muftis article you pasted.

Do not distort the Name of Allah 'Al - Wahhab' just to mock the teachings of Sh. Mohammad ibn Abdul Wahhab.

At least be honest with yourself. If you want to follow the later scholars who allowed it, then at least accept that those who don't are also following scholars.
I didn't say that, I quoted Imam as Subki. It's your choice who you trust more. Brother bugmenot or Imam as Subki (rahimahullah).

"It should be known that Tawassul, Istigatha and Shafa'ah through the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the court of Allah is not only allowed but is recommended. It being Legal and recommended is a known fact for everyone who has understanding of deen, this is a deed of Prophets/Messengers, the Salaf-as-Saliheen, the Ulama and general public of Muslims, none of them denied it nor in any time these deeds were called as bad except for when Ibn Taymiyyah came and he started to reject them, his sayings made the weak get into confusion/dilemma, he did such a Bid'ah which nobody before him had done..."
