About Iddath Period

Salam Brothers & Sisters,

I have a clarification about Iddath period, I have been staying apart from my husband from past 7 months, now we are planning to go for a divorce, since I have not be staying with my husband, still do I need to serve the iddath period, if so for how long will it be?

I see this is your first post and you may not have noticed this but your gender specifies 'brother' rather than 'sister.' If you go to My Settings in settings (see upper right hand corner of screen), you should be able to change this through Edit Profile.
