Insha'Allah, you could start with the Turkish translation of Ayat al-Kursi - this video has the Turkish translation in writing and audio and you can look up the English version yourself but it will give you an idea of what is being said:

I was looking for pdf children's books(with pictures) in turkish, but couldn't find. And I was watching some documentaries in Turkish with no subtitles. I only understood a few words - which are common between arabic, turkish, persian and urdu - that was amazing!
I'm looking to understand conversational type Turkish - day to day use vocabulary as a start. And once I have build up the vocab, then start on grammar, in'sha Allah.

- Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı Çocuk Sayfası (Kitap Listesi) (Books geared at teaching Turkish children about Islam, these books are put out by the government)
- Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı Çocuk Sayfası (Dergi) (A magazine for Muslim children)
(try searching for 'çocuk kitabı' or 'çocuk kitapları' or 'çocuk hikayeleri' or 'çocuk masalları' for other types of children's books/tales)
