    Brother Abu Hajira,

Can you tell everyone here whether or not there are sound hadiths that say that the Prophet (SAWS) was asmar?

The color of peoples skin is sometimes subjective - right now it is summer and Im pretty brown on my arms and face, but I am a blonde hair blue eyed white guy - a general description of me would be white, but I am actually a beige or brownish red color - both descriptions would be accurate - so if one hadeeth use the term Abyad and another asmar - they may both be correct and the narrators of the hadeeth may have both seen the same color, but described it differently.

secondly - WHO CARES - if Rasoolulah (SAW) was purple he would stil be Rahmatil ul Alimeen, Nur ul Huda

Yes i would like to know that too...lets settle this thread quickly now...and I was referring to your flurry of questions in one post directed towards the sister who mentioned that you have created similar threads before, when I said that you were being a little aggressive for this kind of discussion..anyways we are way ahead of that now so let it go...

What the Arabs meant by asmar is clear and people of European origin aren't sumar (plural of asmar) . People of European, Persian, Roman, etc origin were called Red. And when Arabs used the term "white" , they didn't mean what you think. They used red for the color that you call white. It's confusing, but it's the reality and people need to understand this.

I don't like that logo you have under your name. It's like La ilaha illa Allah. Mohamed rasoul Allah is crossed out. You need to fix that.

    Tee,

What's your objective of all this?

My objective is to know why the sheikh didn't mention these hadith in response to the brother's question. My objective is also to know why these hadith that say that the Prophet (saws) was asmar aren't usually mentioned and as a result not many people know that they exist.
