This guy is seriously dementic.. he ultimately wants to prove by his bizarre understanding of colours that our beloved prophet was black nauzubillah min zaalik... which is in stark contrast by what the Sahabah informed us.. and shows pictures of african girls to prove his madness... kindly see through the following two threads..http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...-the-Past-quot

he was proved wrong by our Mufti Abu Hajira sahab.. he begins with holding on to black colour.. when he gets kicked around.. he says he was brown.. and when further cornered he admits he was asmar.. then again commits that asmar is a range of colours..

its high time we have the ulema and knowledgeable brothers back on the forum.. like someone said.. for evil to spread in the world ..it only takes few good men to do nothing..

    duas..

    wa assalam..

I don't agree with Tee's position, but I still don't understand why you deem it to be kufr.

Do you believe that having dark skin is a defect?

I'm not even going to get into the name-calling with you. All I am going to ask you to do is go and read my article here and show me which part of what the knowledgeable scholars of the past said about the meaning of abyad is wrong. Am I asking too much of you by asking you to do that? There is no need for name-calling. Just do that and prove the knowledgeable scholars of the past wrong. That's all I need you to do. Look again at what I wrote and notice that they are not my words, but the words of the knowledgeable, well-known scholars of the past. So if you want to call anyone names, call them names and leave me alone because I didn't say anything from my head.

And show us where I was proved wrong? You have just read what the scholars of the past have said. Now tell us what you think abyad (white) meant to the Arabs of the past.

    You said:

he ultimately wants to prove by his bizarre understanding of colours that our beloved prophet was black nauzubillah min zaalik
Why don't you explain to everyone what you mean by "nauzubillah min zaalik"? Please explain.

The quote from the other thread...

This is the only explanation I've found. From the same thread...

Since Aswad would be the opposite of Abyad, then affirming the complexion to be aswad instead of Abyad would be denying the abyad. And that would necessitate denying a Nass. BUT all that be in its place, is only to be discussed by one who has studied in the field, and an academic issue. Again nothing to do with you declaring a complexion jihad on all to review their colour codedness.

Maybe someone can produce the source of that quote from brother Ansari because I'm interested to know the reason behind it.

It roughly means: we seek Allah's refuge from that.

Even though it has a little desi twist, I thought you read and understand Arabic?

Many were brought as slaves during the Islamic conquests. it is reported that the Prophet (SAWS) said:

لتملان أيديكم من العجم ، ثم ليصيرن أسدا لا يفرون ، ثم ليضربن أعناكم وليأكلن فيئك

"Your hands will become full of non-Arabs (Persians). Then they will become like fearless lions who don't run away. Then they will cut your throats and take your spoils."

How can one do takfir based on something that is not معلوم من الدين بالضرورة? Are you convinced by Sh. Abu Hajira's explanation?

Although I am not convinced by Br. Tee's arguments, the response of some brothers is even more troubling. Why is the thought of him being an Arab of dark complexion is so repulsive? At best, you can say that it is a farfetched marjuh opinion and the mainstream opinion that he was of light complexion is more in line with the sources.

I am Desi myself and can attest to the fact that many of us do consider being dark as a defect (even fellow Desis who are darker are looked down upon and many of us have a serious inferiority complex about our skin tone), and having a negative attitude towards black people is quite rampant amongst us, even amongst those who are supposed to be religious. The is pure jahiliyyah and is even worse when people try to project such attitudes onto Islamic discourse.

I'm not asking you about the translation. I'm asking you why you used the expression. I think you know what I am asking.
