SF Wazaif/Wird/Dhikr/Dua Rolodex?

Mashallah its a great amanah that large number of practicing Muslims from around the world turn to Sunniforum for help in solving their problems. One of the most common posts I come across are requests for duas/awrad/adhkar/wazaif/wazifa that may help in alleviating a problem or mitigating a circumstance. Many of these requests are the same and repeated but they are always sincere. And honestly, my heart hurts for my brothers and sisters, and it hurts when no one can prescribe or recommend something.

So my idea is creating an all-in-one thread (i.e. a rolodex) thread dedicated to the these duas/dhikr/awrad/wazaif, organized with classification by topic, uses, circumstance, origin (Quranic/Sunna/saliheen), whether its mujarab (tried-and-tested), by a SF member or other righteous person. It would take time, but I can put it together and it can be stickied for all members to access easily. (I am not the best with the search feature on this forum, so I may need some help as I work on this, if anyone wants to help email me at muslimology at gmail dot com).

I think this would be a great service to the community especially since its a righteous community. Will the moderators/administrators be willing to STICKY this Wazaif Rolodex thread if I can put it together?

brother. I think this is a good idea and I've noticed many queries about prayers too. Do you plan to just 're-organize' what is already here on SF by linking to various suggestions and asking the mods to open a new category or sub-category? The only thing I think may become an issue is similar to another ongoing effort with regards to a resource list (books) in that the contents need to be properly assessed before added to a list.

Please remember to leave 1 area where people can drop requests for prayers - as in asking us all to pray for them or others.

Yeah, essentially I will re-organize it so its more accessible, in one thread, listing all the threads that contain helpful material, verifying, as you suggested, and which are tried-and-tested.

There is a book section?

Although there are no rules for which thread does or does not become a sticky, moderators will stick those thread which are clearly beneficial for the readers.

So my suggestion is that you go ahead with your idea without hesitation. And also, that you don't worry about "is it going to be a sticky or not". That's a minor point - don't worry about that and just do it for Allah's sake. Majority threads which are made stickies were not intended to be stickies by the thread starter ...

I came to this area for this exact suggestion. I'm glad someones already brought it up.

I personally would think it would be a great idea if we could have one sticky thread in the main section where we can request special duas ... be it a hardship we are going through, dua for shifa for themselves or a family member, etc.

If we can then make it a regular habit to visit that thread, we can then make dua for that person. Sometimes we dont have time to read alot of threads on the forum and dua requests can be missed.
