Also, I don't know about this thing about being attracted to everything a woman writes or speaks? Even her username or whatever (unless its outrageous).

As long as we are having a discussion which is formal or semi-formal then there's nothing more to it - it's just another person who happens to be a woman

We can greatly benefit from their input and I suppose if these issues of being attracted etc. come up then we need to leave the forum. Or you can get banned like Nomadic - someone who goes in overdrive everytime Niqab is mentioned.

I think Br. Nomadic clarified here that he didn't use the word 'Ninja' for sisters, rather he used it for himself. So, I don't see any point in sending him to JailKhana for it.

Or maybe I am missing something else here. Is it?

I just want to clarify that it's not being argued using a stern voice is not sufficient for a Muslimah; it's disguising her voice would be even better. If anyone can point out why it wouldn’t, then let them do so. Barak Allah ta’aala.

Making fun of the shi'aar of our deen isn't excusable; especially for a Muslim. Speaks volumes of one who does this. And all the ridiculous sarcasms were not needed.

How about we scare off non-mahaarim even more by wearing ghost masks too?

On a serious note, the premise of the discussion is based on a so called narration regarding Aisha RA whose evidence hasn't even be provided anywhere in this thread. How about asking the scholars directly instead of jumping to our own conclusions based on qeel wa qaal and our own assumptions about what is 'correct' and 'better'? Who are we? What a waste of time and resources.

I reckon the sisters zealously calling for this are under the age of 25 or relative new to practising Islam.

Question for sisters muminah and Umhassan:
If you were offered a magic potion that would give you a masculine voice in the presence of non mahram men and make you invisible to them, would you use it? Would it be virtuous to do so? Barak Allah ta’aala

This is a no-brainer for me-- no. Not ever. Nor would I ever buy a TH6000 even if all the young girls around me had one. I am not into gimmicky things, fads or keeping up with the Joneses.

No offense sister. If this thread is asking opinions, I have given mine. You don't need to agree but neither do you need to try and convince me to use one otherwise. If you want to use one, then fine go ahead, as I mentioned before, Allah will reward you for your zeal and intention. But you needn't try to convince me otherwise.

Please continue to discuss this with others who have given you their approval and refrain from directing any posts to me. Barakallah Sis, may Allah reward you with the best in both worlds. Btw, have you applied for the sisters section? We could all get to know each other better there.

    1. What would you have to lose if I did convince you?
    2. Why in the world would you want non mahram men to look at you?
    3. Why are you being defensive my sister? No need to defend yourself against me; I'm on your side.

Just thought to mention that sister UmHasan is a scholar and she is highly knowledgable about Shari'ah matters.

Why am I being defensive? I got the impresion it was your idea and you were upset that we weren't buying it and you were getting defensive? Anyway, I'm not defensive at all, but the way you responded seemed to me like you're trying to score points. I'm actually tired of this discussion and was trying to use that post as a way out. If you want, you can carry on trying to convince me. I'm open, but totally unconvinced so far. Be my guest, sister.

    Lastly, you wrote:
    2. Why in the world would you want non mahram men to look at you?
What in the world made you write that? Where did you get that from??

Just to add to Sis HH, its very difficult to write anything on this side of the forum at all without feeling like you are being overly formal, overly stern, overly rude or overly cheerless which is not my intent when communicating with you. I don't like to come across all soft, floaty and feminine so please do not mistake my tone for austerity. Like Sis Aram, my excuse for obnoxiousity on the general forum have already been suggested by other users on this thread.
