Default I combined Dhur and Asr and I am Hanafi

i went on a hike on mountain snowdon in Wales, with my university ISOC for charity. I am follower of the Hanafi mazhab, and i know hanafis dont combine prayers. However there was no flat land until we got to the top of the mountain, so i just combined my prayers like the other brothers did. I tired discussing with the other hanafi brothers that we should try to read each prayer in the allocated time, however they said we might not make it on flat land until magrib kicks in.

Also i read magrib 1 hour and 15 mins after its start time, I am right that you can read magrib until isha kicks in , but is makrooh ?

Also if want i did wasnt correct what should i do now apart from repentance ?

Remorse is repentence and its enough. Try not to repeat the same.
Rather when you are in journey, you can delay the zuhr or magrib but not to the extent of making it qadha. After praying the prayers, u can pray the next prayer in short time.

    Brother Ukbaz,

No need to repent nor be sorry. Being a hanafi is not a criteria of deen in every circumstance. Atleast you read Salah and it is valid according to other schools of thought. You did it with ikhlaas and Allah will accept it Insha'Allah because what you did is not out of the fold of Islam.

    This is my opinion ofcourse.

You are showing your true colors. Ghair Muqallidism. Your opinion is grossly wrong on many counts

he didn't ask for your opinion btw. He asked for the hanafi opinion

It has been allowed by Ml. Rashid Ahmad Gangohi in Fatawa Rashidiyya when you fear missing your prayer. So no harm there, as long as you fulfil the conditions of the other madhhab too regards to combining.
And if he were to ask for a gentle lady in marriage, he would be refused, and when he leaves the world it does not miss him, and if he goes out, his going out is not noticed, and if he falls sick, he is not attended to, and if he dies, he is not accompanied to his grave.

    Assalamu Alaikum

Would the brother had to travel a certain distance to be considered a traveler before he could combine his prayers? I once was in a similar situation on a hike, and the brother said that they don't consider distance a prerequisite for combining salah, but rather the hardship of the journey ( a hike in the forest ) would be a valid reason to combine salah.
