Ibrahim (as) is thrown into Naar e Namrood out of love - the same fire is then turned into a peaceful resting place for him out of love.

    So you figure it out.
He who knows himself knows his Creator.

Famous advice of all Desi elders: "pyaar ke chakkar mein nahin jaana" (dont go and get trapped in the catacombs of love!)

I think we should now put some water on this blazing inferno thread of love!
He who knows himself knows his Creator.

Is Love not the very reason for existence? The Hadith e Qudsi... I was a hidden treasure, and I wanted to make Myself known, so I created existence. So the human heart is created to know and to love the divine.

    Where was the Qur'an revealed?

This (Qur’an) is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. (192) The Trusted Spirit has brought it down (193) Upon your heart, so that you become one of the warners (194) (Surah Al-Shuara)

On the blessed, pure and clean heart of Rasulullah

Majzub is from jzb. Absoption. Annihilation.

A Majzub is a person who got annihilated in Allah(SWT) before reaching appropriate state of Ma'arifat.
A person whose self, whose will is annihilated in Allah(SWT)'s Will is 'Arif.

So Majzub is inverse 'arif in the sense that two essential states are reversed as compared to their desirable order.

We have been asked not to disturb a Majzub. My Shaikh(DB) said that some people have undue high expectations from Majzubs. This too is an error.

A senior (Barelwi) acquaint of yours truly once told this incident. He near some holy place saw a Majzub. The Majzub said that you are lucky that you have got your objective - look at me and look at my condition.

Clearly some things are more clear to these people than the rest of us.

    And Allah(SWT) knows better.

and the converse is that anything that you love other than Him in this world (family, freinds, wealth etc) you have only through his mercy

and in this world over the course of time all these other things we love eventually tend to pass away - the only thing that endures is Allah

so glue yourself to Him and make your love primarily for Him - as the rest come and then go like leaves blowing in the wind.
