Jazak allah! I can pray near my desk! My concern is riya! As I don't want to show off that I'm one pious person. There is a stairwell maybe I should use that, the only problem is that its filthy!!

It will be considered Riya when you are indeed pious and then showing off. But piety is somthing which is known only to Allah. If one says he is pious then this is a sign of impiety.

So, do not claim purity (from faults) for your selves. He knows best who is God-fearing. (Surah An-Najm:32)
Just Do It.
Request for duas and forgiveness from one and all.

We pray here in our office, hundreds of non-muslims are watching us. So what. Definitely it is not riya. You would have seen Tableeghi brothers praying at bus stations, railways stations and airports. It is not riya. They are doing that because it is prayer time.

Firstly, there will always be space. There are H&S guidelines regarding space to walk between desks, etc., which should be adequate.
Speak with your manager or director if you have to. We make jama'ah near our server room.
Even at events around the city I have, always found a place to pray, e.g. at MS offices in Victoria there is a quiet room and conference and meeting organisers are normally very accommodating.

You can pray salah no matter where. Just remember, if you miss a salah because you are too scared to pray in front of the public, remember the consequences on the day of judgement.
Is there a single shower room at your work place? What about empty meeting rooms? Ask the receptionist.Originally Posted by adil al mujahid
I hope the issue of space for salah is cleared out. I could say the same as what others have said, but I feel it has been mentioned enough times.
I would however like to add the aspect of Riyaa'. If the thought of riya' is making you delay your salah and forcing you to find seclusion etc, then this is waswasa from shaytan. Just trample over it and lay down your musallah and burn the shaytan by praying right then. Insha'Allah Allah will make a way out for you.
