No bro. It's not the comments that are hurting me. Insults are something of everyday life - you get used to it alhamdullilah. It's the agony I get when my beloved muslim brothers are not aware of what they are doing and they think to be in a correct position. We have to be humble ikhwan and consider what we do very carefully, especially if it may be something outwards.

Be careful with accusations of bidah. The Naqshbandiyya are not all the same.

With regards to "mawlana"..............what about when the prophet(pbuh) said "whoever i'm the mawla of, Ali is also their mawla" Who was committing shirk then?

Somone calling sufis as bidatees need to get some serious research done about their religion if it is Islam.

EDIT: Note that this is a rhetorical question. Of course I know you love Allah and his messenger more but I'm trying to emphasise that you have to be a bit careful and understand what you do and say (as we all must do)
Why don't wahabis accept there is difference in opinion on various rulings in islam?

Why do they have to have angry/explosive outbursts instead of approaching things calmly when they see differences?

Why does everything have to be done the way they choose to interpret issues, especially if the other party is a non-arab, no matter how educated?

Imam Bukhari (May Allah Ta'ala have mercy on him) has mentioned many more meanings for the word Maula.

    صحيح البخاري - (4 / 1670 دار ابن كثير ، اليمامة – بيروت(

وقال معمر أولياء موالي وأولياء ورثة عاقدت أيمانكم هو مولى اليمين وهو الحليف والمولى أيضا ابن العم والمولى المنعم المعتق والمولى المعتق والمولى المليك والمولى مولى في الدين

This further proofs that others besides Allah can be called a Maula. In fact, Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم himself called Hadhrat Zaid a Maula as narrated in Sahih al-Bukhari,

This sufficiently proofs that using the word Maula for others besides Allah cannot be termed as Shirk.

Furthermore, it is amazing to see how the author of the ‘fatwa’ did not observe in the verse he has quoted from Surah at-Tahrim (66:4) that the righteous amongst the Believers can be called Maula. Allah Ta’ala mentions in this verse that Allah, Jibra’eel (Alayhi as Salaam), the angels and the pious believers are the Maula of those who assist one another against صلي الله عليه وسلم.

    القرآن الكريم - (1 / 430)

إن تتوبا إلى الله فقد صغت قلوبكما وإن تظاهرا عليه فإن الله هو مولاه وجبريل وصالح المؤمنين والملائكة بعد ذلك ظهير (4)

Arabs use the term i remember that the late Qari Abdul Basit's nephew who visited here used the term when he was referring to some local ulema he said "convey my salams to mawlana shaykh ____" or something similar to that in arabic.

Anyways, my question is, is Mawlana an Arabic or Urdu word? If Arabic, then what is the root word?
How can a man be on the way of the Salaf when he "explodes" in anger and does not know enough Arabic to recognize the word Mawlana?

    Assalamu Alaikum

Now that we have understood the term Maulana, can someone please explain where the term Molwi Sahib came from, which is also pronounced as Moisab/Molsab.

as mentioned in one of the earlier posts, maula + na means our maula, maula+ya would mean my maula. it is the latter which would be pronounced as maulvi, wallahualam
