Default *Say "ASTAGHFIRULLAH" whenever you see this thread*

Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam used to seek forgiveness of Allah swt many many times throughout the day, some say 70 times a day, though he is beloved of Allah swt. How much tawbah and astaghfar are we doing though we all are well aware of what kind of things we have done and said in the past and what kind of things we are capable of doing.

Most generous of mankind, I have no one to take refuge in,
Except you at the occurrence of widespread calamity.

For true repentance there are three conditions:

1 To give up the sin immediately
2 To feel regret and remorse
3 To make a firm intention never to commit the sin again

The perfection of my companion took effect on me'

sister. I have a dua here I wanted to find the transliteration for so perhaps I will spot it in the link you've provided.

We can also ask for forgiveness for things that are not sins, like laziness, impatience or an inability to do something at a particular time, and ask for strength, patience, perseverance and the ability to accomplish what we set out to do as well.

Infect there are two different terms Taubah and istagfar. Usually we take it as they are same, but there is slight difference between them, istagfar means feeling regret and remorse what we have done done in past, and Taubah is strong and firm intention to not do the same sin in future ....
