Default Regarding Badr Language Institute & Dar al Mustafa - Tarim, Yemen.

I am a student from Sri-Lanka & I am hoping to study Islamic sciences at Dar al-Mustafa (Tarim, Yemen) educational institute, but before that it seems I should get myself fluent in Arabic language. So for that reason I am interested in joining Badr language institute (Tarim, Yemen) for an year to make myself familiar with Arabic language.

Some said that the Badr language institute and Dar al Mustafa has got combined together recently, is that true ?. If then can I learn Arabic at Dar al Mustafa directly ?, If not then what is the procedure to join Badr language institute or any other language institute at Tarim, Yemen ?. Please, someone kindly help me by answering these questions - also if possible provide me with details regarding accommodation, cost of living at Tarim,...etc. Also please be kind to share all the information's that will be useful to me in anyway.

Dar al-Mustafa runs a one year Arabic program. It starts straight after Ramadan (end of August). The cost is $850 US for tuition & $180 for accommodation in Dar al-Mustafa. The course covers basic Arabic, Qur'an recitation and basic Islamic knowledge. Anyone that wishes to study in Dar al-Mustafa or Dar al-Zahra this year 2012-13 should contact daralmostapha@gmail.com as soon as possible.

This is very cheap? Are they accepting westerners? Last I heard they weren't taking in any new students. This was 3 years ago though.

How much is the four year program taken if one already know arabic?

Yes, the cost of living in Tarim is very reasonable & yes, they accept westerners too. Sorry I don't know about the fee details for the four year academic studies, you better contact the administration via e-mail (daralmostapha@gmail.com) - the accommodation cost may remain the same.
