I think it may be the case that although Faraz Rabbani studied ilm with the Deobandis he has since taken up a view that may be more like the Arab Sunnis than the Deobandis in one or two areas? At least some things that he has said imply that.

I think you may find that the other teachers have views like the majority of Arab Sunni scholars (allowing Mawlid etc).

Why don't you contact them and discuss this issue with them?

If you made the differences clear in your mind beforehand, if you studied with them it wouldn't mean that you had to accept any views that differed from the of the Ulema of Deoband, yes?

I guess soo but at my beginner stage getting a wrong teacher can be disastrous. I have pretty bad experience in studying at the Islamic Online University.
    Assalam o 'alaykum,

    No.
Is there an authentic deobandi website offering free courses ?

Let's stick to the original topic of the thread.

Please make another thread if you want to talk about tawassul vs istighathah.

It causes no problem for him to allow invoking 'Ali [ra] directly. Only this is sufficient to keep away from him.

tawassul is allowed in Sunni Islam -

and mufti ebrahim desai has called Hazrat Ali (r) as dead - arent shaheeds alive it is in Quran

Mufti Ebrahim Desai was asked :
    Question
Some one told me to recite "Ya Ali Adrikini Fi Sabililah" for my problems. Can u Please tell me is it right to recite this? Please reply. Thank You.

    Answer

In the name of Allāh, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

    Assalāmu ῾alaykum wa Rahmatullāhi Wabarakātuh

It is not permissible to call out to the dead for any kind of help or assistance.[1]
Such an act constitutes kufr and the implications of that are major. If a person is married his marriage terminates. He will have to make tawba and renew his Imaan and Nikah. If he does not do that, his relationship with his wife will be an adulterous one. If his “wife” conceives in that stage and gives birth, the child will be illegitimate.

Mufti sahab has spoken against Quran by calling a martyr and shaheed as Dead - its in Quran that dont call shaheeds as dead -

You can avoid the 'aqeedah course if you want but the other courses are really good.

And just because he is not a deobandi does not automatically mean he is some sort of a danger to take 'ilm from.

    I've benefited from that website.

There are two Deobandi 'Ulamaa teaching through Cordoba Academy, if you still don't want to take benefit from SeekersGuidance.
