Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU wa maghfiratuHU,
I was wondering how much of Hidayatun Nahw is covered in SP's first year if one is enrolled in their 2-years program.
JazakumULLAH Khair,
Wassalam ma'al-ikram

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU wa maghfiratuHU,

My sister, the whole book is covered in the FIRST YEAR.
The first year is broken up into two semesters. In the first semester, you cover all of Sarf and A LOT of Nahw while doing Qasas books 1 and 2. Then, in the second semester (of the first year) you do the entire Hidaayatan Nahw, all 132 pages.
If you visit this link: learningarabiconyourown.blogspot.com
you will see some download links for the entire first year of the program as it was run around 2009-2010 (this includes recordings of the entire Hidayaat an Nahw). You might want to check it out (though note that the program has changed somewhat since then as I believe they now also incorporate videos in their lessons and the Shaykh has taught Hidaayat an Nahw many times since then so he's probably gotten even better at it which I know is very hard to believe).
(BTW, I think that it would be more appropriate if this thread were in the "Arabic" forum. Could a moderator please move it?)

Why is he gonna get in trouble with 'copyright' issues or something? I hope not.

Correct.
I doubt that he'll get in trouble as he's done nothing wrong. As for copyright, I am of the opinion that the entire idea is really a sham. BTW, Ulema do not unanimously accept the concept. Please see: http://www.albalagh.net/qa/copyright.shtml

The blogger is in the U.S. As such, see the following as it is relevant: http://c4sif.org/2011/11/copyright-is-unconstitutional/
(if you are unfamiliar with how Law works in the U.S., you will not be able to see why it is relevant to the discussion)

The files are of previous versions of SP not the ones currently 'for sale', if anything it would promote membership to the latest version of SP.
