Can i get a good voice?

I'm wondering how qaris get such good voices. did they all start out with normal voices and improve them, or is it only those blessed with good voices that we hear of?

According to Ulema, it is not permissible to recite Qur'an on musical scales by practicing it on sargams or muqaamat. If it comes in naturally without practicing on musical scales then it is permissible.

what do you mean by sargams and muqamaat.

Assalamu alaikum,

Go back to basics - learn tajweed properly and practice each letter with it's correct sound. Get a basic kitaab on tajweed such as noorani qaida or Tajweed for beginners - this is where you should be practising the drills.
When you read Quran properly with tajweed, insha Allah your recitation will be amazing. Just listen to Shaykh Hudaithi - absolutely amazing.

yes, i already do this. but im just wondering whether the famous sheikhs are talented due to nature or nurture

Aaw. Brother Abdul Baset - don't be carried away by voice and focus on the true purpose of the Quran, that is to follow it. Beautiful voice is low on the scale of purpose. Conveying the message clearly and correctly to yourself and to others - absolutely crucial. With regards to voice and your question - it is a combination of both. You must practice everyday but being gifted obviously helps.
