Does not matter if many of his other statements had cleared many confusions in the minds of masses and made islaah of countless people.One of the experience/karguzari of one of his fan on the fan page of Moulana on 'fb'.

I have met with maulana sb last year after a hard struggle, he is such an inspireable personality and with zero proudness. More than 6 feet height with wide body greenish brown eyes smiling face very polite while speaking. brother, I am not denying the work of Maulana Tariq jameel sb, but that doesnt mean that calling controversial scholars as "Shaikul Islam" (which means that he is an authentic authority on Islam) is acceptable. And also, I heard that bayan where he compares Maududi sb with Hakimul ummat Thanwi R.A. and says that Maududi sb's writings were more effective for common people than Hakimul ummat's which is unacceptable. So, now do we encourage people to read his books since he was a "good Hanafi Aalim"? Such problematic "unity" statements basically put the Ulema who have warned against maududi/Tahir ul Qadri/Farhat hashmi etc in the bracket of 'narrow-minded and sectarian extremists'. May Allah guide our Ulema.

This is what goes wrong in threads like these on the entire net .
How it dose more harm then good.

The mass media world we live in leaves no one untouched of controversy .

Now people like me who might have benefited from both these two individuals on their general topics will all of a sudden find them troublesome and doubtful . This makes urgent the need for more information to go in depth on their beliefs and potentially ruin my appetite for any
message they give.

I rather have not known about the odd speech they said or event that happened and focused on what they stand for overall.

You can never get the hard line supporters of any individual 'sheikh' tackling these issues which creates a lasting image of their 'icon' status .

The new practicing Muslim and new at Islam find themselves without a ' mawla ' / leader. Very soon they find themselves alone in masses of millions of the same faith.

There are people who follow some ulema so strictly that it becomes the only way for them that they will remain adhere to islaam.Any kind of doubt about these scholars have a very bad effect on people who make ulema an icon for themselves and when such matters comes out it some times turns into a catastrophe for their deen.

So I request the moderators please understand this and remove this thread from the General Islam and I request not to discuss such matter in public or public fora and leave it on the ulema instead.

This is a very depressing and pointless thread. Its rather like many of the people in it think they can appoint themselves judge of learned Muslims and scholars over differences in understandings of Islam that are matters of real scholarly disagreement, not matters of gossiping.

Depressing true. pointless , don't think so . The people you mention, those average Muslims with average understandings of Islam are the very audience these scholars are trying to reach.

And if your audience get second thoughts about you when what you do or say gets known by everyone so easily its time these scholars start taking notice of it.

Islam was not meant to be an elitist belief after all.

Are we aware of killings of many respected scholars in the recent , is any one having the list.

Many recent scholars are suffixed with shaheed in Pakistan. Recently Moulana Ilyas Ghuman had narrow escape.

To create peaceful atmosphere to live in, a poor soul tries to build bridges and he is being targeted. Is this Uswa snd from seerah of Rasulullah SAS?

Let us ignore what the salafees say on this. They have already declared all ahnaf including their Imam to be mushriks.

When Addi bin Haatim (a hardcore follower of christianity) arrived in the durbar of Rasulullah SAS, Rasulullah SAS welcomed him; spread his shawl and made him sit over that. Rasulullah PRAISED him and his qaum.
While speaking Addi bi Haatim words were tough. All this happened. But results!! Subhanallah.

Can any sane person call tahir padri shaiekh al islam?
