Default Listening to the Jumu'ah khutbah?

I have school on Fridays, so I literally have to run to the Masjid (a few blocks away) after classes are over so I can make it in time for Jumu'ah. I get to the Masjid right when the Khutbah is about to be over, so I only get to listen to the last 5-10 minutes of the khutbah, or less. I cannot come to the Masjid to listen from the beginning because I have classes, and I barely make it in time for the 2 Fard, so its just not possible.
Is it wajib for me to listen to the full khutbah? Is my Jumu'ah salah still valid?

Missing the khutba on purpose is a grave sin. You should ask to be excused from classes a little bit earlier. A long time ago when I was in high school, we had parental permission to leave school early to make it for the jum'ah khutba.

In university, we never had roll call for lectures so that wasn't a big issue.

Yes, but I do not miss it on purpose.

I already leave 45 minutes earlier (I skip lunch) than normal, and literally run to the Masjid and still miss at least 30 minutes of the khutbah. For me to make it in time for the beginning of the khutbah, I would have to leave at least half an hour earlier, which is basically missing the whole class. I cannot do that, not every Friday, let alone one.

Is there still sin upon me if Im trying my best?

Are you in high school or university? Would it not be possible to get notes from friends? If you're in university, are there lecture recordings available? Is there anyone who drives to the masjid from the school? Is there public transit available? Is there any other masjid that is closer? Try to find out all options available to you. It comes down to either missing an entire class or missing the entire khutbah.

Im in High School. Notes are not a problem, I just can't miss the whole class, I dont think thats allowed. No one drives to the Masjid. Its the closest Masjid to the school, there is no Masjid that is closer.

    salaam
salah will be exepted, and the jumah khutbad is only WAJB for those that are pressent at the time so like you mentioned you not being their and only geting the last 15 min of the khutba wil not invalidate you jumah prayer as for both of these are two seprate actions, adding to that , that if for examle you mist the full khutba but you got yous sallah then the prayer will still be valid

if you cant make it to the prayer and miss the khutbah due to school then do not worry about it Allah is forgiving and understanding (which alot of people have forgotten these days and have taken whabbi doctrine on board without even realising it) you are already showing your intention of trying to get their on time and Allah knows this and just because you missed the Khutbah is no big deal in the Grand scheme of things.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

    As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

In principle one’s Jumu‘ah Salah will be valid as long as one joins the Imām before he concludes the salah with a salām.[1]

However we would advise you to speak to your college, or university to grant you some leeway to reach the mosque in time to join the congregation before the Arabic Khutbah.
