He was a mufti at Jami'ah Haqqaniah Akora Khattak. I believe he passed away recently.

You can find a small biography in the first volume. On p. 31 you can find a list of his famous students, such as the mujahid Jalaluddin Haqqani, Mawlana Habibullah (teacher of Hadith at Jamia Islamiyya Pashutanabad, Quetta who was the teacher of Mullah Umar Mujahid), Mawlana Nur Muhammad Thaqib, previous chief justice of Afghanistan etc. Most of the ministers of the Taliban movement were his students.
