Asalaam Ualaikum brother, you're in a situation that is extremely difficult. However, the intention is the most important and Allah knows best. What is most important is that you make up for what you have missed when you have the time to do so. If you have the chance to read it then by all means.

Islam is simple and wishes not to be over complicated. Insha'Allah your studies go successfully. And Allah is most forgiving.

There is an excuse to miss jumu'a salah if you are busy with taking care of your patient. Its mentioned in the books of fiqh as a valid excuse. You should check up with an Alim.

Other scholars however are hesitant to give such a fatwa, and state that you are entitled to have a break. So your schedule should be such that you will be allowed to go to jumu'a.
And if he were to ask for a gentle lady in marriage, he would be refused, and when he leaves the world it does not miss him, and if he goes out, his going out is not noticed, and if he falls sick, he is not attended to, and if he dies, he is not accompanied to his grave.

First of all brother, make dua to Allah ta'ala for ease in your affair..
Secondly you should know that jummah prayer is obligatory for men and there is no 'qada' for it. So if you have missed it then you HAVE to perform zuhr in replacement..
All in all, if due to your occupation you cannot at all, then im afraid you will have to leave that specific time so that you can perform jummah..
For in a hadeeth which im recalling now, it's stated that the person who has missed jummah prayer 3 times (with no valid shariah excuse) is like a kaafir.. to the nearest meaning.
Make khaas dua that Allah opens a path for you and insha'Allah all will be well.

I think you recall it wrong it does not say ones becomes kaafir by leaving out 3 jumu'ahs...moreover he's not doing so intentionally.

May be you should try to relocate in a muslim populated country where they sure should be doing breaks in between the operations for prayers. May Allah make it easy.

I thought my reply was practical as I don't know how non-muslims can be okay with you praying. I know of an arab surgeon who makes up his prayers just before maghrib as there's no time because the days programme is already full. May Allah make it easy. But if others have practical replies I'm eager to know too.

    Wassalam.

    What country are you in?

I know that there may be an excuse in Islam for staying with your patients, but that excuse does not apply if this is a frequent occurrence and it is something that is preventable, albeit difficult to do so.
