Default Which GATE should you use to enter the Haram Shareef for Umra???

I have seen ppl mention use the Bab-as-Salaam, and others saying use the Bab-ul-Umrah.

The thing is where is the evidence for either? In hadeeth or Quran?

And if you use bab us salaam then you have to cross the busy sa'ee bit to enter the mataaf area. This appears to be incorrect.
And why is bab ul umrah named as such? Is it bcos it is THE gate for entering the masjid for umrah?

I'm just soo curious. I really want to make my appraoch to the kaaba shareef according to sunnah.
    jzk khair.

Come on guys, there must be some of you who have been on umrah? You didn't just parachute into the mataaf did you?
Which gate did you use and why? Or do you just use ANY gate? Whichever gate is nearer your hotel?

I'm surprised there is no guidance from the sunnah on this...

    Bismihi Ta’ala

From what I have read, it is Mustahab (desirable/rewarding) to enter through Baabus Salaam the first time one enters the Haram Shareef. It is not compulsory. Moreover, there is presently a great deal of extension and expansion taking place, so entering through Baabus Salaam may be difficult. So any door will do. Just remember the Sunnats when entering and leaving the Masjid, together with the masnoon duas and the intention of Nafl I`tikaaf.

May Allah Ta'ala make it easy for you and for us to reach the Mubarak lands.
Humbly request your duas whilst in Umrah and Salaams at the Raudha Mubarak please.

Jzk khair for that. The first time I did umrah my dad took me thru babus salam and i remember we had to cross the ppl doing sa'ee so i thought that can't be right...but if you say it is mustahab i cannot disagree...is it in a hadeeth then?

inshallah i will defo mkae dua for "munawwarah" if i remember and pass on ur salams. it will be a bit weird saying "asalamu alayka ya rasulullah, from munawwarah" but i will try inshallah

The following has been documented from certain historic narrations: Babus Salaam leads to the pathway which was used by Rasulullah (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) when making Hijrah, i.e. when exiting from Makkah Mukarramah and proceeding to Madina Munawwarah. It is also said that this was the entrance used when Nabi (Sallallaahu ‘alayhi waSallam) entered Makkah Mukarramah at the time of the Conquest of Makkah Mukarramah.
