I dunno, but fake tans never turn out right...people usually end up looking like oompa loompas.

You could try asking on askimam or sunnipath or something.

    A related fatwa: http://spa.qibla.com/issue_view.asp?...=3403&CATE=102

I guess it depends if the tanning cream/spray forms a layer on top of the skin that water can't penetrate. To me it sounds more like henna which dyes the skin but doesn't form a layer. It would depend on the ingredients used in the product. You might also want to consider whether the product contains ingredients derived from pigs.

Jazakallah for that, the ingredients seem halal, just going to email them now to see if they form a layer on top of the skin.

ok just spoke with a work colleague regarding this who is into all the beauty stuff and basically the fake tan forms a layer on top of the skin and sheds as your skin sheds. its not like henna which dyes the skin. so would only be permissible during menstruation.

    Hope this helps others

Why not use a little common sense of course she can use the fake tan what is the big deal we know in Islam that beautification is allowed for your husband so if she is doing it for you then of course it is allowed

and she can pray with it on as that would mean that cleaning your self with Oil which was common in the old days would make it impossible for many people to pray as that created a barrier on the skin and the Wudu is more about cleaning your soul and getting you in the mind set to pray then of actually cleaning your body.
