I have heard it was very rare indeed, and Rasullulah salala ho alayhi wasalam wanted people who confessed to him about it, to keep it between themselves and Allah subhana wata ala and to do tawba. We by contrast seem to want to kill people first, we talk about this as if it is one of the important fundamentals of the deen, we have been misled by the kuffar into discussing these issues as framed by them...they accuse, we defend endlessly, in the end we make it appear as if Islam is only about punishment for sexual crimes, while the much bigger crime of riba goes on everyday in front of our eyes and very few people will speak about this crime and its punishment very often.
brother there is a difference between defending the existence of the hudood and wishing its implementation on everyone. Noone here is saying it should be thrashed out left right and centre, only that totally denying it is denying authentic hadeeth in order to palcate the non muslims. I dont think anyone will disagree with you that if the conditions are implemented properly, it will pretty much never be implemented
    May Allah Bless You

Don't listen to the opinions of the scholars on politics, I've yet to see one whose political opinions aren't an embarrassment or even worse. The days when our scholars knew about politics are long gone, until those days return I won't listen to any of their political opinions.

As explained in pretty any Islamic manual.

    Alawis are kuffar.

There are Mujahidin fighting in Syria, and not for democracy.

Asad is not just a "tyrant", he's a KAFIR.
I agree, but why rebel now, of all times? And what is their reason? I doubt any good reason can be found, and nothing good has come of their rebellions. Democracy is not a good enough reason, and I doubt the average illiterate egyptian knows what democracy actually is, his conception of democracy probably revolves around money; he equates it with western money and freedom, and this freedom is not freedom from oppression, but freedom to do what he wants. These people think they will be rich like white people by having a democracy, ha! That's all they want, white people money, to be modern, western. Even the isalmic party, the muslim brotherhood, its hardly islamic. It is modernist.

Look at libya, gaddafi took his countrymen from living in tents, by providing them all with housing, and he paid them to go study abroad as well. Now look at it, the west has control of all its oil, and its a wartorn hellhole.

Nothing good has come of their insurrections, they should have waited and been patient, prayed for a better ruler as people did in the past. But you know people don't even pray these days, they just sit in internet cafes, or sit around drinking tea and smoking shisha, and they have the audacity to call for "democracy." What was the result, social chaos, many people dead, women raped, and more people becoming refugees...

Many people are rebelling because of the economic hardships that have occurred recently both in the west and the rest of the world. Prices of food and other necessities have risen greatly and at the same time the means of earning a living have been greatly curtailed, with massive amounts of bribes and or bureaucratic hoops to jump through...these things eventually lead to explosions...the last straw that breaks the camels back as it were. These things may even be 'engineered' by outside forces.

In March 2009 U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced and endorsed the Second Alliance for Youth Movements Summit[1], held October 14–16, 2009 in Mexico City. This Summit explored the role of technology in mobilizing young people working to end violence throughout Latin America and around the world. Young delegates, described by Secretary Clinton as “the vanguard of a rising generation of citizen activists,”[2] were joined by more than 15 private and public partners[who?], including the world’s leading technology companies[clarification needed]. Together they launched discussions on how best to use the latest technological tools to catalyze change, build movements, and transform lives.

he has a soft corner for the Rafidi shias at the expense ahle sunnah. In a siting with Dr. Israr (ra), he (Imran Hosein) has spoken positive about satanic revolution in Iran and its leader devil Khomeini.

He has tons of lectures about Dajjal but he himself fails to identify that Butcher al-Kalb of Syria is a Dajjal and Qaddafi of Libya was a Dajjal. Bashar al-Kalb wants to be worshiped and so did Qaddafi.

"The sign of the Mahdi is that the Turks will sweep down upon you, and your khalifah who gathers wealth will die and be succeeded by a weak man who will be deposed two years after his bay'ah, and the western part of the masjid of Damascus will collapse into the earth, and three men [i.e. rulers or leaders] will arise in ash-Sham, and the people of al-Maghrib will come out to Egypt. All of that is the sign of the Sufyani." from Al arf al wardi by Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti (Rah...)

"When the turn of Banul-'Abbas comes, and the people of the black banners tie their horses to the olive-trees of ash-Sham, and Allah destroys for them al-As'hab [i.e. the man with red hair mixed with grey] and the majority of his household at their hands, until there remains no Umawi from them except the one who flees or goes into hiding, and when the two branches of Banu Ja'far and Banul-'Abbas fall, and the son of the eater of livers [i.e. Hind bint 'Utbah, Abu Sufyan's wife] sits on the minbar of Damascus, and the Berbers come out to the center of ash-Sham, then that is the sign of the coming of the Mahdi." from Al arf al wardi by Imam Jalaluddin Suyuti (Rah...)
