Salam,
I need the original tafseer of ibn Katheer in arabic and exact translation in english of Surah Nisa Verse 58,59.
Can someone please provide ?

I found a tafseer of ibn Kathir on
https://www.box.com/shared/gmq92yrkip
and if you read aayat 58, 59 page 163-169 it gives you an impression that ibn Kathir was not a mukallid nor was he in favor of Taqleed.
Need some scholar to comment on this please and if the translation in the link I shared is authentic.

Can you please upload his tafseer in Arabic and urdu so that we can cross check with the translation in english that I shared.
Those who do not accept Taqleed of a particular Imam/Mazhab present this reason that if they (common people) do not find any issue of the 4 imams inline to thier understanding of quran / hadees and hence they "pick and choose".
The point of discussion here is whether ibn Katheer in his Tafseer has given common man the permission to contest the Ruler / Jurist[Imams] and asked them[common-layman] to refer to Quran and Sunnah if they feel the Jurist has erred? To me after reading from the link i provided gives that impression by ibn Katheer. On the contrary Ahle-Sunnah believes that refering back / reverting to the Quran and Sunnah in matters of dispute is the work for Jurists and not common man.
The tafseer of ibn Katheer as seen in the english translation I had shared says that a person revolted against the ameer of the jamaat [anti Taqleed] when he asked them to jump into fire and instead revert back to the prophet s.a.w and the prophet s.a.w support his disagreement against the ruler.

W/Sallam
Having had read the tafseer in Urdu as well I feel there is a small issue with ibn Katheer with respect to difference from the Hanafi Ulema for the Surah Nisa Aaayat 58,59.
He definately commands one to do Taqleed and the English translation I shared does not have the indepth and long explanation I found in the Urdu Tafseer regarding one to practise Taqleed.
Also the incident of rejecting the command of ameer [anti-Taqleed] is mentioned in the urdu tafseer as well and the fact that the prophet s.a.w praised this act.
Irrespective, the main point I want all of us to ponder upon is the fact that Hanafi Ulema term the later part of the aayat which says in case of differences turn to Quran and Sunnah is for the "people of authority / jurist [as explained by Muftisays]" while i get a feeling ibn Katheer r.e.h says [page 56 of the urdu translation] that the command is for "layman / common man" which stands as the basic difference between Taqleed rejectors and Ahle Sunnah Jamat.
Do you agree brother ?
