Wassalaam...

Actually I was not asking about that.
I'm asking about this. Please see this Image, I have circled it with Red marker.... 237dtq7jnwoc2ugtlg0.jpg

Assalamu Alaikum
It is saved in a cache at the forum itself and not in the users browser cache.
Wassalamu Alaikum

So it auto-saves but we have no access to it; so where's the benefit ?
Wassalam.

I benefited from it earlier today. I will share how, so that others may also potentially benefit.
I was writing a reply earlier today and instead of clicking to "post quick reply" I accidentally clicked "reply to thread." It took me to a new, blank reply page. I clicked the back button on my browser, because I have had success with that on other forums, but it did not take me back to my original composed reply. It only took me back to the thread. I clicked forward, prepared to recompose, when I noticed at the bottom of the box a place to "restore auto-saved content." I clicked it and it restored my entire post.
Try this.... compose a reply, then click out of it, then return to the same thread, click reply and look at the bottom of the reply box for the "restore auto-saved content."
I think it could be nice for those times when someone spends a long period of time composing a reply, but then has one of those glitches and loses it all.

Jazakillahu khayran I shall try one day.

I think you'll also find that if you use one computer and it autosaves, you can go to another computer, click on the same thread and the saved portion will be there. That way, it's an advantage for those who use SF from different computer.
I remember a while back people asking if we could have a feature like this.
