    Are the person you are referring to also is following the tradition "family of lesser status of our country expects more than some pious family with higher status".

    And the person being a man, he is in better position to chose. Why can't he do tawakkul on Allah SWT and marry a girl from lesser status family. If she was living on one meal, the person offers 2 meals, she would be happy. If she was living on one dress per year, if you offer 2 dresses she would be happy. So both husband and wife are happy.



    The same reply. Why does the man wants to to marry a girl from a rich family.
    Hazrat, the poverty level of family you've mentioned, in our country this type of families are too far from Deen. Believe me.

    Marry a girl from a family where zuhd was not optional but circumstances made them to live a simple living.
    And pious simple family can be only found among Ulama. But they only want Alim to marry their daughters.
