Default I am getting close to reverting but I've got some questions.

Assalam alaikum sisters and brothers. I am getting close to reverting but I've got some questions.

    1. Can I do my prayers in English while I am learning the Arabic words?
    2. I don't have any clothing or a headscarf to wear while praying or reading the Qur'an. My parents don't want me wearing that, even if just when I'm praying and reading the Qur'an. What should I do?
I think that's all my questions for now.

Although ur prayers whether in English or Arabi are heard by Allah but the obligatory prayer (salah) shud be offered in arabic only. U need not be a master in arabic to do that. Its quite simple and can be learnt easily. About the clothing, headscarf and full body cover is required. U may convince ur parents or do it without their will.

Sister very first obligation for a human is to embrace the Islam, so leave all other worries, first accept the Islam.

It is not necessary to prayer in ENGLISH, Qirat (reading arabic in prayers) isn't obligatory for you until you can read the simple verse of Quran, Thats all. Meanwhile can say "Subhan'Allāh" "Subhan'Allāh", (Glorious is Allah) in your prayers (Salat)

To read the Quran you don't need to wear anything. You can read the Quran anyhow.

Wearing the headscarf is obligatory for women in prayers, so you can't skip it. So if you can stand still then wear the headscarf and do your prayers, otherwise do your prayers without headscarf. Or do some tricks to hid from your parents for only five Prayer. In a day only five time you need to do that trick , You know some Companions (May Allah be pleased with them) of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him did tricks for prayer.

Hiding your hairs is only necessary, when you going out, for if you are praying. You can live in your home without headscarf.

However in any circumstances, you can't delay your revert, it very huge and very first obligation for a human to accept the Islam, after reverting you can settle down your other issues. In Islam there is no flexibility in faith, but have lot of practical flexibilities.

    May Allah protect you.

Don't revert until you are totally ready.

This is a contract between Allah (swt) and you.

Make sure there is no doubt in your heart.

Brother Revert you have just sent a contradictory signal to the sister because your advice is opposite to the one given by brother Junfrared.

    Dear sister,
One surprise that awaits you is that the Arabic that Allah (SWT) has given us for our Prayers and guidance is extremely easy to memorize. You shall be really surprised when you go through the experience. And then a series of equally significant surprises will follow - a series that shall continue for whole life, Lord Most High willing.

I am one of those who are impatiently waiting for your Shahadah.

    Greetings sister,

I'm going to go with the majority and advise you to say your shahdah as soon as humanly possible. Don't wait for witnesses or to do it at a mosque etc, say it to yourself and then you can do it again at a mosque and/or with witnesses and what have you. What if you keep thinking about it and you die before becoming Muslim? Only Allah knows, any one of us can die at any moment.

    Copied from Wikipedia:

Arabic: أشهد أن لا إله إلاَّ الله و أشهد أن محمد رسول الله
Transliteration: ašhadu ʾanla ilāha illal-Lāh, wa ʾašhadu ʾanna muḥammadan rasūlul-Lāh
Literal: There is no god but Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the messenger of Allah.

As I'm sure you know, once you say the above transliterated Arabic statement with conviction, while understanding the meaning, you 'officially' become a Muslim. Then you start learning and making salat, and learn everything else gradually. There is no requirement which says if you revert today you must be making 100% perfect salat by tomorrow, and know how to read the entire Quran in Arabic by next week, and have it all memorized by next month. These are all gradual things which will Insha'Allah become part of your life and your routine to learn, and Insha'Allah it will become easier and easier as you continue putting effort into learning the one and only true religion. In fact, as you learn about salat more and more, you will see that perfecting your salat is a lifelong affair, and even then we can never worship our Creator they way He should be worshipped, but we can try at least.

In regards to your questions, Insha'Allah (God-willing) everything will fall into place once you proclaim your shahadah and become a Muslim. Millions of reverts worldwide deal with the same and more on a daily basis after becoming Muslim. Keep making dua (praying) to Allah and He will fix everything for you.

Lastly, of course you will say your shahadah when you feel comfortable doing so, just keep asking Allah to guide you to say your shahadah at the right time, which only He knows, and to make everything else easy for you and guide your family as well. Ameen.

    Allah knows best.

Yes sister said a very nice advice. Don;t wait to revert. Say shahada and gradually learn and apply.
You don't need to do everything at once, but you should be consistent in learning and applying, Lord the most high willing.

Sister I am going to elaborate on what I said earlier.

If you are ready to revert than please do so now. And don't worry about all of the minor details. Because everything will fall into place as you take each step into your new life. You cannot predict what is or isn't going to happen. So let Allah (swt) guide you and help you through any challenges you might face as a new Muslim.

I want to reiterate on what I said before. Please make sure that you are 100% ready in your heart and mind to revert to Islam.

    Not 99.9% .......but 100%

This is a life time commitment to be taken with the up most seriousness. There must be Zero doubt that this is the right decision for YOU.

Do not let people in their zeal pressure you to revert. I know that they mean well and are worried about you. But don't make the decision based on pressure from people or emotional appeals.

Your decision must come from a deep longing for Allah (swt); and the ultimate Truth of the Quran and the Sunnah to guide Your life.

If you feel like a person stranded on a desert island with No water to drink; and your mind and body are desperately needing Islam to quench that thirst.

If you wake up in the morning felling like something is missing in your life.

If through out the day you find yourself thinking about Islam and reverting.

If this decision is consuming your life.

Then you are ready to accept Islam.

Do not let anyone or anything stop You from reverting.

    And do it Today.

Go through this link first and pray to Allah to make it easy.

You can memorise few small words in Arabic easily - the ones we recite in prayer and slowly memorise larger surah.
Your parents are concerned because of a lot of missinformation in media. So you have to judge for yourself when you can observe all relegious practices. But your focus is to observe all things Islamic.
But pray to Allah to soften their hearts, and to make life easy.
