Waaleykum'assalaam!
Great stuff! Masha'Allah!
I would forward this to my Punjabi friend who is a convert. He's gonna like it for sure.
Do you know some good lectures in Punjabi? He asked me long time back for some punjabi lectures which he could get his Mom to listen to. His Mom is still Hindu. Please share if you know of some bayan.
Pray for her Hidayah too.

...you will find many punjabi naats and hamds on youtube, but I dont know of any punjabi lecture on Islam that is suitable for dawah to non muslims, as Punjabi is a local language of Pakistan and here 97 out of a 100 are muslims so Ulema use punjabi in villages only and those bayans are muslim centric, usually on seerat, fiqh, sectarian issues, etc...Maybe some member from interior punjab can help you find some Punjabi lectures, In fact I just remembered, there was a Jammat Islami scholar from Sargodha by the name of Professor Irfan. He used to give excellent lectures on Imaan, Purdah, jihad and he toured the whole of Punjab in the 2000's. If you are interested I'll ask the JI people I know if I can get cassettes of his punjabi lectures that are generally on Islam and may be suitable for hindus (there is a slim chance of that though as his lectures were also centered around muslim social and political issues but I can check).
I understand where you're coming from. But it's ajeeb that Dawah resources in Punjabi language are scarce in a country like Pakistan. How are we supposed to reach to the Punjabi population in India and Pakistan alike?Originally Posted by Salman_Hanafi
I came across a Punjabi tafseer of Qur'an on FB page of Islam-Sikhism.com . Guess it was written by some GM alim but it's better that not having anything.
But anyway, try getting something from JI people and let me know.

This is really nice. I don't understand Punjabi very well, but I can understand most of this.
I don't like all the humming in the back though...

I have this ^^ in a cassette which otherwise contains naats recited by Junaid Jamshed, The wordings of this hamd are pretty good but the person reading it does so in a really depressing tone, and the humming you mentioned is even more distressing...
probably has something to do with most punjabis being barelwi i suppose
Chaska laga hai khoon-e-tamana ka is tarha
Us khoon mein nahatay hai hum jaan bhooj kar
khushiyon se rooth jate hai hum jaan bhooj kar
Gham mein khushi manatey hai hum jaan bhooj kar

Most of JJ's renditions etc have the humming as well though. That's why I usually don't really listen to him anymore.
