Plz do. I'd love to hear him.

What do u ppl think about Hafiz Abu Bakr Madni? He's presently in south africa but some ppl are saying that he's berelvi and so we shud'nt listen to him... Dunno how true this is though.

Yes it does, its not actual music though so the one listening is safe I suppose, there is another issue with some of the naats that i find is disrespectful....They copy the tunes of real movie songs and recite a naat in that tune, or they will use the first phrase of a love song and then add a phrase in praise of Huzoor to make it a naat!!!

JazakAllah aapa for posting this....I dont know how I missed this before, this naat is amazing and the reciter has definately fulfilled its right...for once I can say that qari waheed zafar qasimi saab would not have added too much to it, without any exaggeration

no, copying the tune of songs is impermissible. i was told by a mufti. if you think that then avoid the nasheed.

Hafiz Abu Bakr is a muslim. he does not do bid'ah infact in some of his nasheeds he refutes bidatis, shias and qadiyanis.

My information is that he was a Barelwi naat reciter but because of an episode or two with Maulana Tariq Jameel Sahab (DB) he left that maslak and they hate him now.

I see no issue in whether a naatkhwaan is barelvi or deobandi or salafi, as long as what he is reciting is top quality and he recites with dard and adab, the naat posted in the OP is most prolly written and recited by barelvis...must we bring these sects in every little thing we do...
