Support Sheikh Hatem al-Haj

A Sheikh local to America by the name of Dr. Hatem al-Haj, also known as Dr. Hatem Elhagaly, has become the target of a defamation campaign based on his stance concerning the sunnah female circumcision. It was misconstrued into genital mutilation by a cursed individual who then started a petition which resulted in his being forced to resign from his job at the Mayo clinic.

Dr. Hatem al-Haj is also a faqeeh and sheikh who provides valuable services to the community. Now the cursed individual is trying to get all his medical certifications revoked; what is clear is that his aim is to run him out of the country.

He has lessons on al-'Umdah according to his own translation and commentary here, and numerous other lectures of his, along with his Ph.D thesis on contemporary medical issues.

Please sign the petition and send it out to others so that this man can continue doing good work in America, and may Allah reward you.

Dr. Hatem is also teaching at Mishkah University I believe (online Islamic university based in the US) - a Salafi institution if I'm not mistaken.

All he teaches is fiqh and related subjects. I would certainly sign something like this on behalf of any Deobandi who was in a similar situation.
