Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU wa maghfiratuH,

I have often heard from my Madrassah mates that it becomes easier for one to work toward an objective/"dream plan" and eventually realize their dreams, if they tell their family, friends etc beforehand that they intend to do such and such in future, for it is presumed that this making one's goals known to others makes their conviction to attain to their targets even stronger. How true is this?
