Is Sufism an integral part of Sunni Islam?
I have tried dhikr, but I wonder whether group dhikr is bida or not (this is what I have heard).

لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله
In relation to the Hadith of jibril.... The religion is composed of three parts.
Islam (fiqh- Islamic Law relates to actions of the body)
Iman (aqidah - Islamic belief relates to how one understand Allah - the mind)
Ihsan (tasawwuf - Sufism- Islamic spirituality - relates to the heart and spirit of the person an it's relation with Allah)
In regards to dhikr and group dhikr... Some scholars consider it recommended, other scholars consider it permissible, while another set of scholar will consider it forbidden and a bidah...
So it depends who you ask.
And Allah knows best.

Asalaam
Worshipping graves like some sufis do is definately not allowed neither is asking from the deceased or building them shrines.
Wasalaam
What about Muslim women marrying Muslim women... What about Muslim
Drinking alcohol??? What about Muslims who engage in suicide bombings... What all the bad things people do in the name of religion and inspite of what the scholars have deemed permissible
And impermissible...
Does that make Islam bad??? Or does that mean There are some bad people who are Muslim....
I have never read any books by sufi shayks that worshipping graves is part of Islamic spirituality... However I have read visiting graves and remembering death is an essential part of Sufism and an aspect of the sunnah...
The point is this.. I know many Sufis who don't worship graves... Most of which don't even visit graveyards....
I also many upright Muslims who are upright inspite
Of those bad Muslims who drink and blow up civilians by way of suicide bombings.. Which is haram...
And Allah knows best...

It is a sheer extrapolation to portray Ihsaan and Tasawwuf to be synonymous. The word Tasawwuf does not have any origins in Arabic language, let alone Quran and sunnah. It is utterly irrational to assume that Ihsaan means tasawwuf and yet sayedna Muhammad PBUH and his companions did not lay down any basis or principals for this "integral" part of Islam. Rather it was left to the persian sufis to lay down the principles of this "integral" part of Islam.
@ OP .As you have asked for an opinion so let me share my two cents. In my opinion Tasawwuf and its doctrines make up a parallel religion which is severely in collision with Islam and has had its negative impacts on Islam with such a huge magnitude that it has become one of the main reasons for the decline of Islam. I have written something about it which you might consider reading. [link removed]

Do not distort the Name of Allah 'Al - Wahhab' just to mock the teachings of Sh. Mohammad ibn Abdul Wahhab.

And this person wants us to believe that he is a true hanbali.

It is described in hadith of Jibrael (AS) when he asked Rasullah (SAW) about what is islam and what is ihsaan.
Tassawuf is the essense of relegion. The pillars are foundation of islam. One is external and the other is internal.
