    Default in neral khanqah

i visited neral khanqah of hadrat khaleelurrahman (db) sajjad nomani for the first time yesterday 27.05.2012,
what should i say, it was an awesome experience.

i had heard hadrat once earlier in kapadia masjid in the tafseer majlis about two weeks back, and i was hooked.

the bayan in yesterday's majlis was of a very high ilmi order, ma'sha'allah.
i wish to record here what little i retain of what i heard, seeking pardon of allah if i commit any mistake.

    the topic was Tauheed (oneness)

today the jahalah (ignorance) has again reached the level that it did about 1400 years back. The world is again subject to so many divisions, contradictions..
then, this ignorance was confronted with the message of Tauheed by rasulullah (sa).
the message of Tauheed is far more powerful and has a lot many aspects than is generally conceived of by us today.
the first aspect of Tauheed is in terms of Ruboobiyat (overlordship, creatorship, sustainership) and Uluhiyat (being ilaah, deihood, being the subject of worship).
all religious groups, not only muslims, agree that there is only one Rabb, the one who created everything, who sustains everything…this is so even though followers of many other religions have fashioned many ilaahs, many deities, many subjects of their worship.
this is the most glaring dichotomy that they know that there is only one Rabb and yet worship many, this dichotomy is completely out of tune with today’s general intellectual climate the scientific mindset and this is exactly the point which indicates the opening for daawah, to see the haqqaniyat of islam.
apart from this, the recognition that everyone has the same Rabb, even they themselves do not recognize it, should create a sense of love, a sense of affection, a sense of concern for all the humanity in our heart. we would then as muslims not find a feeling of anger or revulsion or ill-will for our fellow human beings, but an overflowing sense of love for all, a concern for them...
the second aspect of Tauheed is the teaching that all the religions of the world were One, they were all sent by allah, to all the aqwaam (nations) of the world, be they in india china asia africa… islam is the latest and the most complete edition of the same Religion. much as there have been additions, changes, corruptions, alterations in those older religions, the fact is allah (st) sent those to guide the humanity..
the next aspect of Tauheed is that all the men, all the women, living today, who lived earlier, or will live in furture they are all sons and daughters of the same Adam..so they are all brothers and sisters..
Tauheed is greatly evident in islam. in islam there is no distinction between deen and duniya, they are one and the same, the duniya lived in line with islam’s teachings is deen. the same activities of eating, going to the toilet, earning money, doing business, exercising power, being with your family, smiling to your wife…..all are nothing but deen if the doer’s niyyah (intention) is correct. Tasawwuf as explained once by Sheikhul Hadees to a great friend of his, starts from innamal amaal binniyah (the famous hades which means something, like all actions are as per the intentions), and its acme is that you pray as if you are looking at Allah, or at least that He is looking at you. so it is the niyyah that is of utmost importance .
today a lot of muslims happen to be under the misconception that the sahaabah (companions of the prophet s.a.) were all some otherworldly, downtrodden, poor, unintelligent folks. the fact acually is that the sahaabah were the greatest in their society, they excelled in their fields, they were pillars of their societies..sayyadina abu bakr siddiq (r.a) was entrusted with exercise of the powers of the chief civil judge in makkan society, sayyidina omar (r.a) had the same status in criminal matters, these were the most repsected, most revered figures of their society, sayyidina Othman (r.a) was a great multinational trader, sayyida Khadija (r.a) was a most accomplished trader and manager and so on……the same held true of the Ambiya (a.s)..Quraan tells us that Dawood (a.s) was a master of steel industry, Sulayman (a.s) was learned not only in some human languages but even those of the animals, birds and so on….
muslims today have assimilated wrong notions of their religion, they have divided their duniya and deen which certainly is incorrect…we have to achieve excellence in all the fields of action, of enquiry, of knowledge, of science…we have to aim very high, when we aim high insha’allah we will also achieve accordingly
rasulullah s.a was the most affectionate of persons in his human relations, he was a most considerate husband, there are many instances when in consideration of the young aisha r.a he participated with her in game, showed her the entertainment in town by standing in a way that she would not be seen from, but would be able to see, outside… he countenanced her playing with dolls with her young friends
his marriages were not driven by lust but with many other great objectives…one instance Huyayy ibn akhtab was a jew amongst those exiled to khaybar from madina, he had great enmity in his heart against the prophet s.a.
when later muslims conquered khaybar many prisoners were taken, these were being distributed amongst the various muslims.
amongst the prisoners was safiya, the daughter of huyayy. Prophet s.a. decided to marry her…that was a message that muslims are accepting, they have no personal enmities against anyone, the princess will be given a station of honour safiya became safiya r.a. ummulmuminin
these are all glimpses that show the integrated nature of islam, it is pure mercy, we muslims ourselves have been lacking in recognizing its greatness and practicing it

Posting with the intention to read the OP later. IA.

In the preface to the collection of Pir Zulfiqar Sahab (DB)'s lectures of the last India tour published under title Khutbaat-e-Hind Maulana Sajjad Nomanu makes a rather touching statement.

    From memory:
Pir Zulfiqar Ahmed Naqshbandi Sahab (DB) shown in the sky of the sub-continent when the Ummah was stunned after the departure of the likes of Hazrat Madni (RA), Hazrat Zakariya (RA), Hazratji (RA), Maulana Yusuf (RA), Shah Abrar-ul-Haq (RA) etc one after another.

Some one should bring in the exact quote.

Today onwards let us resolve not to feel guilty. Reason being that intentions of a Muslim are better than his actions.

And, all praise is due to Allah (SWT), a few times I have managed to read the intended posts.
