Saudi Arabia is a society of contradictions. If it werent for the Hajj-profiteering and the political-influence of being guardians of the Holy Mosques, then Saudia wouldnt be any different from the kuffar-den that is the UAE.
When Saudi princes are openly appearing on film associating with unislamic activities, hiring females without hijab, Prince Waleed prevents any women in his presence from wearing veil, when TV channels depict unislamic activities. Multiple princes been caught/accused of orgies and homosexality. What do you think will happen?... People are frustarted with the hypocrasy.
This is what happens when you have extremism, this extreme-
action results in extreme-
reaction. This is why salafism is "cool" when its a minority (because its a counter-culture movement); but the moment it becomes majority (mainstream), it becomes uncool. And people lose their faith altogether. They continue to criticize Madhab and rafidhi, but their own practices are full of jahiliya and nifaq.
The best example to learn is the European Wars of Religion, and the "puritans". They fought many battles to break off against the Catholic Church, the Protestants were just like the Salafis. But today its those very Protestants countries (US, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany) who are the most irreligious. WHY? its because their religious extremism or "puratinism" met its elastic-point, after which ppl were so tired of religion they gave it up altogther.
Everything the Muslims are doing today, everything i see: i say DEJA VU. Because ive already studied this and seen this before. I can already predict what will happen next. If you want to protect the faith, stick to Madhab and stick to Sunnah, and stick to the "middle path" that the Rasul prescribed. or else your faith will become like the Protestant-countries and the Gulf-countries.
Even secularism, which people associate with being AGAINST religion, is actually a RELIGIOUS concept. Do you know how?? After the Protestants broke off, and the wars were over, they began arguing and fighting amongst themselves. The so-called "puritans" did not like the Church of England, they did not want a state-church. They wanted to be independent and de-centralized. So thats how the "pilgrims" (puritans) fled to America, and thats how SECULARISM came into being. The protestants also enacted secularism in Netherlands as well.
