    Love for Allah:

    http://www.al-rashad.com/Love-for-Allah_p_2668.html

I've personally read this book and liked it, its a short read.

    http://www.ipgbook.com/al-ghazali-on...php?page_id=21

I have not read these two, but I've read other books in this Ghazali series from the same publisher and those have been excellent. The second one just came out a few weeks/month ago.

    Love for the Prophet (saw):

I haven't read a full seerah (biography of the Prophet (saw)), although I have read parts of many. People seem to recommend Martin Lings quite a bit, although I found it to be a tough read:

    http://www.amazon.ca/Muhammad-Martin.../dp/1594771537

I'm sure this would be a good purchase:

I have Tariq Ramadan's Footsteps of the Prophet, which to me was a very practical biography for modern times:

    http://www.amazon.ca/In-Footsteps-Pr.../dp/0195308808

As a side note, this book, below, is also being released soon. I read it a few years ago and it was very practical and made me think about the heart and its diseases:

I tend to stick to certain publishers, Fons Vitae, White Thread Press, Turath Publishing, Islamic Texts Society, Sandala etc. They have a wealth of books and print to high standards.

Immerse yourself in the book of Allah (SWT). Shaykh (Maulana) Husain Sattar MD (HA) says that if a person is not spending at least 20 minutes daily with the Qur'aan then they shouldn't expect to get anywhere, spiritually. He makes these comments in Fundamentals of Tassawuff.

If the Koran is still a little too difficult for you, I would suggest The Koran: A Very Short Introduction by Michael Cook. It is not very long, but very informative.
