Brother Melbourne,

The reason I have been asking questions the way that I have been is not because I'm a newbie to Islam.

I just wanted a general consensus as to some of the issues and questions that I get hit with while doing Dawa to people from all walks of life.

No, I am not a scholar by any means, but I personally know several of the top scholars here in America if I run into a difficult or technical question about Islam.

I figured Sunni Forum would have a vast cross section of people where I would get a feel for the global ummah; such as people like yourself.

As far as being arrogant; I don't really have anything to be arrogant about. I am not famous or rich; just handsome.

I write how I speak in real life; basically, Texas cowboy redneck humour, with a dash of wit, and a spoonful of southern charm.

btw Everyone knows when I am at the Masjid as soon as they come in the door and go to the shoe rack.

That's because I am the only brother in the mosque who wears cowboy boots.

But honestly brother you need a lot more knowledge of deen, manners, emaan & speech before you can give dawah, or is this just how people talk in your area?
And giving dawah in cowboy boots is really original
