Jesus as messiah

Help me understand, please, the role of Jesus like a messiah. What does it mean that he's messiah? It means that he's saviour? Or I think salvation provide only God?! Christians believe that Jesus died for us (for our sins) and this is his role of the messiah. What is the view of Islam? His messiah role will reveal only at the end of the world?

Wa alaikum assalaam bro. welcome to the forums.

In Islam, Isa(as) ie Jesus is a Prophet like Noah, Moses, David etc. Its mentioned in the Quran, that Jesus didn't die on the cross, he was raised to the heavens by Allah the Almighty. Jesus is still alive in the heavens and Allah the Almighty will send him to Earth again near the End of Times. This is the second coming of Jesus. But during this second coming Jesus ie Prophet Isa(as) will follow the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad . This is mentioned in the hadith also.

it may be that the "messiah" role will only be fulfilled with the second coming. since during his stay previously Isa (as) was not a king or political leader to the people but he will succeed Imam Mehdi as the political and spiritual leader of the muslims.

Here is a short summary of the events mentioned by our beloved Prophet Muhammad in the hadith:

-Imam Mehdi is a righteous leader that will come in the future, who will help the Muslims. (Beware of the deviant definitions of the shias regarding imam mehdi)
-After the appearance of Mehdi, the Dajjal will appear. Dajjal is an evil person that Allah will be sending to test the people of the world. Dajjal is a false prophet, he will claim that he is God and try to mislead people. Only Muslims with good Imaan(faith) will be able to resist him.
- Then Isa (as) ie Jesus will descend from the Heaven with the permission of Allah the almighty. Only Prophet Isa (as) will be able to kill the Dajjal. After this Isa(as) will order all cross to be destroyed and he will live in the world peacefully according to the teachings of the Quran. Upon his death He will be buried next to Prophet Muhammad .

- After this the peoples condition will deteriorate till the end of the world. Sinning will be at its peak. At during the Last hour there will be only bad people in the world and Allah will destroy everything in the Universe. Then only Allah Ta'ala will be left, this is the might of Allah the Creator. Then he will Resurrect all of the humans in the plane of congregation. Then there will be questioning and weighing of our deeds. Then People are send to Heaven and Hell. Some Muslims who sinned more than good, might go to Hell temporarily, but they will be given Heaven eventually by the Mercy of Allah. Then the life is eternal.

Ta'ala means exalted.
Shia is a deviant sect, who spread a lot of lies about Islam.

Don't worry bro, even if you are in Slovakia, InshaAllah Allah the almighty will show you a way to learn Islam.

amr123, many thanx If I have some doubts? I want to understand the reason (the origin) of the conflict between Israel and muslims. And now - i'm learning everything and i'm asking, looking up for sources. I am just beginner, because till now I was catholic christian, but I've found there a lot of nonsense... I can't believe popes any longer. It is not possible for me. And now I believe in only one God, I believe in Muhammed, Qu'ran, books from heaven. I believe that books from heaven were changed - by judes and catholics.
I haven't learned how to pray yet. I am very knew - few days But I need a lot of good materials for muslim-beginner (everything what new muslim should know, when he wants to convert). Today I'm going to halal store first time We've just 2 stores in our little capital. And we have no me****a. Pray please for muslims in Slovakia. Here are powerfull christians political parties like in Poland e.g.

Israel was formed after the 2nd world war. They drew boundaries in Palestine and divided it. Israel are mostly Jews. They started illegally encroaching Palestinian land. This caused a number of conflicts. They have bombed and attacked Palestinians many times, there were also retaliations as a result. You can see the map to understand the encroachment they have done:
