Default Pregnant, bitter taste in mouth?

hope everybody is doing well inshaAllah.

I am almost 3 months pregnant Alahmdulillah and I don't have any problems as such Alahmdulillah. But I have this bitter taste in my mouth all the time. It's been there since I was 4 weeks pregnant and has only increased. Because of it I feel like munching all the time or sucking on candies or mints, just to get rid of it but within minutes the taste comes back and it makes me feel awful. Sometimes I don't even feel like eating anything due to the after taste but I force myself because I get soo hungry.

Anyone had similar experience? What can I do to get rid of it?

Would greatly appreciate any tips or help.

    Sister,

Firstly, Mubarak and may Allah (SWT) make it good for you and the family (Ameen).

Secondly, it's normal and it may pass or may not pass and these cravings are normal, try some ice and see if it helps (sometimes it does)

Thirdly, DON'T FORCE yourself to eat anything and eat when you feel like it.

Da sorrow in my heart wil remain, until I'm given da glad tidings of Jannah,

i've just had my fifth child mashaallah. The metallic taste is just one of those symptons of pregnancy which will pass inshaallah after you have given birth. In the meantime find things to suck or eat that help give you some relief. I found chewing gum really helped in the first few months when morning sickness was rife. Try eating regularly even if it's something small. I found sweet things use to make the taste in my mouth worse so maybe work out foods that make you feel worse and try to avoid them.

May Allah make it easy for you - not long to go now! x

Alhamdulillah, MashaAllah ultra glad to hear this

Why don't sisters^ make an intention right-away to make all of their kids [at-least] Hafidh of the Quran - the blessings start right away. And perhaps in the case of sister onetinywish intend to make one or two of her kids Scholars for more than the normal service of Islam in countries where Muslims or Islam is very weak...

the blessings the help from Allah SWT start right away.

sister for your advice and dua. mashaAllah you have five kids, may Allah swt make them coolness of your eyes, ameen.

Yep, sweets only make the taste worse for me too. I tried tamarind candy and it really helped a lot, so did fennel seeds. Now that I have entered the thrid trimester the bitter taste has gone down significantly and I feel so much better Alahmdulillah. Found out today I have high blood sugar, so got to watch my diet. But apart from that my pregnancy has been relatively easy by the grace of Allah swt.

Hope your newborn is doing good inshaAllah.

@brother Pluto, brother. We have made the intention of encouraging our kid to memorize Quran inshaAllah, if everything goes well.

May Allah swt bless all our kids with imaan and the ability to utilize their strengths in the path of Allah, ameen.
