Default Jizya and Slavery in Islamic Law

    Some people are saying:

1)the Islamic Laws regarding Jizya (forcing non Muslims to pay taxes different from Muslim Zakat in a Islamic governed area) should be abolished in this and future ages.

    2) That there is no room for slavery any more because it has been abolished from the modern world.

    Answer:

    1) Jizya protects Muslims and non Muslims. When they pay it, Muslims remain vigilant and prevent the non Muslims from practising riba. When the Ottomons abandoned Jizya collections, they were eventually destroyed, and the Muslims were enslaved economically and culturally by Jewish, Christian and Secular Bankers. And they were slaughtered. Non Muslims are protected by paying Jizya from becoming too powerful and unbalanced and slaughtering each other like in WW1 and WW2.

    2) Economic slavery is when some or most of a persons day or activity is appropriated by another, it is an unequal relationship between two people, where one has greater power than another. Given this definition slavery mentally and economically still exist and are widespread around the world.

Not streaching just giving some reasons, not all of them. In Islamic law the slave has rights, they are to be given food and clothing that is the same as the masters. It is a means of re-rehabilitating people back into society with Muslims being encouraged to free slaves, which means give them freedom and a means of livelihood. Many people in modern warfare are stuck in camps for years living as refugees.

I would not mind capturing Tony Blair or George Bush or David Cheyney or Donald Rumsfeld and making them my house servants, they might learn some humility after being responsible for the blood of millions. (I am partly joking, but it does serve the purpose of illustrating its benefits)

Right; slaves in the Islamic world very often raised to the highest strata of society; some even becoming rulers.
In other cultures they would have just been slaughtered at the end of the war.
