But how come he's giving fatwas on sunnipath if he's a deviant Barlvi. Why is that? He shouldn't be alloweded to give all those fatwas, there are many people (like me) out there who know nothing about him and trust him. If he's really deviant, then somebody should do something to forbid him giving fatwas.

The tawassul has different types and different rulings, some are Kufur, and some are Haram, some are sunnat.

1- Tawassul by His Names and Attributes (Sunnat and Highly recommended Tawassul)

2- Tawassul by your Feebleness, debility (Sunnat and Highly recommended Tawassul)

3- Tawassul by Supplication of a LIVING person (Sunnat, Sunnat of Pious Caliph and recommended Tawassul)

4- Tawassul by Your Good Deeds (Sunnat)

Innovative Tawassuls:

5- Tawassul of Crypto-Creation (Pseudo-Deed) (for details read Muftis Sahab's 5th category of Tawassul)(it is VERY weak but positive Taweel of Mufti Taqi Uthmani and Hazart Thavi r.a. for 6th type of Tawassul (see just below 6th type) b/c they are against the Tawassul of Creation which very good thing) (Highly unacceptable, b/c it is very feeble Taweel, leads to Bidat)

6- Tawassul of Creation by using his name in your supplication TO ALLAH (whether living or dead, Prophet or Angle) (Bidat)

Innovative or Heretic Tawassuls:

7- Tawassul of Creation (Dead or Absent) by requesting them to Ask Allah for you (Haram, Almost Shirk or VERY SUSCEPTIBLE TO Shirk) (this is narrated in VERY VERY Wahiyyate, Mawdhoo' and Munkir ul Matan riwayyat)

8- Tawassul of Creation by requesting the Creation (believing that they have partial or GIVEN authorities) (Kufur, Zindiqiyate, Barelviate, Shiate......)

Accrding to my knowledge Imam Azam Abu Hanifa never opposed Tawassul. The great Imam i think wrote a Qasida which i think included words of Tawassul
