Can one get Roohani (spiritual) Faiz from graves?

Muhtaram,

Before answering your question, we would like to draw your attention to the following:

1. Muraqabaat, Ashgaal, Awraadh, e.t.c are not the Maqsood in Tasawwuf. These merely serve as aides to assist one in obtaining the objective. The real aim and objective is that one reach the stage of Ihsan and Fana Fi Allah.

2. In order for one to benefit from these Muraqabaat, ashgaal and Ahwaal, one has to take counsel from a Shaykh Kamil. How can a sick person treat himself when is in need of treatment himself? He will have to go to a specialist doctor for treatment.

3. Inform your Shaykh before undertaking any Muraqabaat, Ashgaal or Azkar. It might be detrimental to your physical and spiritual state to undertake Azkaar, e.t.c without informing your Shaykh. Once a certain Mureed in the Khanqah at Thanabawan nearly passed away because of exceeding the daily limit of Zikr that Hadhrat Thanwi (Rahmatullahi Alayhi).

With regards to your question:

Hadhrat Thanwi (Rahmatullahi Alayhi) has mentioned that “The Faidh that is obtained from the graves is not such that a person will reach the pinnacle of Sulook/Tasawwuf with it; in fact its effect only extends to the Sahibe Nisbat according to the power of his Nisbat. A non- Sahibe Nisbat does not attain any Faidh from sand. The Sahibe Nisbat only obtains a certain amount of Faidh for a short period of time like how the heat of the oven lasts for a short period of time. The Faidh that is obtained from the Shaykh that is alive is much more than one who has passed away. The heat that is generated is much more. There is no need for a Sahibe Nisbat to obtain Faidh from graves.” (Anfase Eesa, Pg. 27, Ashrafiyya)

It is clear from the above definition that only a Sahibe nisbat can acquire Roohani Faidh from graves and not any ordinary person.
