There is not much to translate, Allah says "The Most Merciful is upon the throne risen": So At-Tabari said, Ar-Rahman is upon the throne Risen/Ascended, Over/On (the throne.)

This is was in reply to a person who asked what Istawa means, according to the apparent meaning of the verse.

So, according to the Ashaa'irah there is a need to do ta'weel of the Sifaat that if taken according to there apparent meaning are Tajseem (kufr) but according to Salaf no such reason occurred?

    What connection???
That's my question, if the Salaf were supposedly Mufawidheen, why did they give an explanation of Allahs withness, to mean with his knowledge, and include in that, that He is above the throne?

Or were the Salaf only Mufawidheen in somethings but not others?

Yes, b/c Tajseem (kufr) is "Secondary" Issue of Islam

Remember that the Fitna of Tajseem (kufr) predates the Imam Abu Hanafiah r.a. (80-150), Even a/c to Kawthari and his friends the Tajseem is Jewish fitnah (and Wahabis are Jewish followers ) which means it predates Our Prophet saw (even a/c to some it is Pharaonic Fatinah which means it even predates the Jews........)

HA HA HA whata fantastic theory

There is no hadith where the Prophet (saw) said to take yadullah upon its literal meaning...

So perhaps we should remain silent about the unclear matters of the Quran... For none knows its meaning except Allah...

Unless you can prove what Allah intended by yadullah...

It is the theoretical preface of Batinyyah or Qaramitah or Mutazillah etc.....

Can you define what is clear or unclear?

Using this same theory of Unclear, Ibne Sina Kafir Batni, have rejected the Day the of Judgment, and you reject the Attributes of Allah, he say if Taweed or Illahiyyat is unclear then why not the Akhirate, which is still a secondary issue w.r.t Taweed or Illahiyyat

My innocent Brother you don't have any valid argument (means coming for Quran wa Hadith with the interpretation of Sahabah) for this Ambiguity theory of Attributes.

Are you talking for yourself or the Asha'irah?

If you are talking for the Ashaa'irah provide proof...

The main REASON for Ta'weel is that the Dhaahir of the Quran is Kufr according to the Ashaa'irah, whether the Salaf took them upon the Dhaahir is another question...

    Do you agree or not?

Do we have any hadith other than the slave girl hadith where this topic is discussed?

Did rasool Allah ever ask any sahabi where is Allah or taught them where is Allah?

From the Ash'ari, Sh. Sa'id Foudah:

    http://asharis.wordpress.com/2012/02...kufr-unbelief/
Imam al-Zarqani said in his book Manahil al-Irfan: 'Our Scholars agreed that if a word carries 99 aspects of disbelief and one aspect of faith, it must be interpreted according to the best of meanings, which is faith'.
